Haldex has long stopped production of Gen 1 controllers and you probably have a old an tired Haldex Controller. Our controller starts as used Gen1 unit we source from the best suppliers. It then undergoes a massive refurb of internal and external parts. We make sure all elements of the system are as good as new specially:

  • Motors
  • Sensors
  • Screws
  • Springs
  • Gaskets

The unit is then flashed (two variants available) way within the factory safe parameters to ensure reliability but adding a faster and more agressive response that totally transforms the behaviour of the car on the road.

Depending on your application we offer two editions, Yellow and Black and for both you have optional extras.

The MCT Yellow Edition Controller is the best option for cars that are driven on both street and track.

The advantages of the MCT Yellow Edition Controller are its ability to predict the onset of torque much like the PreX which is for newer Haldex hardware but even more aggressively. The MCT Yellow Edition Controller takes into account the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) signal more so than the OEM Controller and therefore can proactively begin applying power to the RWD clutch packs before wheel spin begins. As power is increased, more power lock occurs in the RWD unit until full lock is achieved. To summarize, the MCT Yellow Edition Controller is more aggressive with how it transfers power and does so much more proactively than the OEM Controller. This is ideal for autocross, road racing, and street driving as well as enhancements to poor weather driving.

All OEM security systems are retained and work as originally designed. The ABS braking system or engagement of the ESP is not disturbed with the upgraded Haldex system. Economy at highway cruise conditions is retained by still enabling the transfer of primary power to the front wheels when cruising.

The MCT Yellow Edition controller kit comes complete with the plugs (two) that fit right into the OEM connectors, replacement bolts and a gasket for a simple clean installation. No additional fluid is required. Completely Plug -N- Play.

The MCT Black Edition Controller is the best option for cars that are driven on the track.

MCT Black Edition Controller offers all the benefits of the Yellow Edition (see tab to the left) but it’s even more aggressive as it does not stop transferring torque to the RWD when you lift the throttle. It also keeps the RWD fully locked under braking generating additional mechanical force to assist in slow down and maintain dynamic chassis balance.Overall you will gain more control over braking and corner entry|exit.

This increases wear on the rear differential on off-race conditions like low speed with tight cornering maneuvers or parking.

Having this in consideration MCT also makes available optional extras to avoid this increase in wear in case you have to use MCT Black Edition Controller on off-race conditions.

ON/OFF Switch

This optional extra allows you to turn ON and OFF the MCT Haldex Controller with a remote control. Once the controller is turned of you will get only front wheel drive which is good for fuel economy of for off-track situations if you have MCT Haldex Controller Black Edition.

Do I need to make modifications to my car to fit MCT Haldex Controller

NO. MCT Haldex Controller is 100% Plug&Play. Simply remove your used Haldex Controller and install the MCT Haldex Controller.

Why don't I simply flash my current used unit?

There are companies that offer such service but take in consideration:

  • Your unit is not new so may not be 100% functional
  • You pay for a flash and still get a used unit that if breaks you need to replace at your cost
  • MCT Haldex Controller is at the same price range and you get a brand new unit + you can exchange your used Haldex controller for up to 30% discount on purchasing the MCT Haldex Controller

Why not buy a used BLUE/ORANGE unit instead?

If you can find a used unit for sale you can but please consider:

  • What happens to your current unit? You can always try to sell it
  • An used aftermarket unit was probably purchased for track use its wear level will be high and may not be at 100% condition
  • You have no warranty nor can easilly replace it something happens
  • MCT Haldex Controller is at the same price range and you get a brand new unit + you can exchange your used Haldex controller for up to 30% discount on purchasing the MCT Haldex Controller

What about the mechanical inserts that give me 50:50 all the time

This is also and option and a “cheap” one, or is it?

  • Yout will drive at a constant 50:50 split increasing fuel consuption
  • The constant 50:50 split increases wear of the Haldex Unit, Haldex Controller and rear diff resulting on failure sooner or later
  • The constant 50:50 split makes the car more dangerous to drive
  • The contant 50:50 split still happens while braking, high speeds and tight corners

So what seems to be a cheap choice can become very expensive and dangerous really quick. Consider in alternative investing on a MCT Haldex Controller plus you can exchange your used Haldex controller for up to 30% discount on purchasing the MCT Haldex Controller
